Frontier Trails Namibia – Mountainbike Trail / Swakopmund

The ultimate cycling experience: Swakop Moon Valley Mountainbike Trail: Experience the magic of the Moon Valley landscape and its flora and fauna on a two day guided mountain bike trail.

Starting midday at the Desert Hills Farm Stall we follow the trail along the northern bank of the Swakop River, through the spectacular hills and valleys of the moon landscape, arriving at the oasis Goanigontes, our overnight stop, late afternoon. The evening is spent around the fire underneath the stars.

After breakfast our trail leads us south to the rim of the Swakop valley, where we turn west and follow the historic ox waggon route to the coast. As the sun rises, the fog lifts and we see Springbok, Oryx or ostriches grazing on the lichen fields that cover the plains, pastel shades of green and yellow.

Descending into the Swakop valley we cross the riverbed and arrive back at Desert Hills Farm Stall in time for lunch.
