Air Namibia needs more international flights!
The Minister of Environment and Tourism: Honourable Pohamba Shifeta, has recently commented on the new tourism statistics. It is interesting to note that in 2013, 1.3 mil more visitors arrived in Namibia!
It is also noteworthy that most of these visitors are now from the USA and Asia.
And how do they all get here? – Mostly via South Africa; mainly because there are many flight connections via Johannesburg and Cape Town available and fares are relatively reasonable.
Experts like you know that Air Namibia offers so-called ‘code sharing’ flights with her partners to Windhoek and Walvis Bay. The Minister encourages the air line to make more flights available to accommodate the growing market – be it using their own Air Namibia fleet, or by implementing more code sharing contracts.
We’re looking forward!
